SUSTAINABILITY

Our sustainability philosophy is captured in our ecoProcessing    brand: economically and ecologically sound processes for difficult challenges related to device safety, sustainability and cost containment.

Sustainability in Healthcare

The Lancet publishes an annual report on health and climate change; in 2019, they reported that the global health sector contributes nearly 5% of total greenhouse gas emissions, most of which are produced somewhere in the supply chain.  It’s clear that the business of supporting and providing healthcare is a big contributor to environmental pollution.

Many hospitals in North America and Europe now pay attention to their impact on the environment, with particular emphasis on reducing O.R. waste. Yet, there is a significant challenge in healthcare institutions that may well have gone unnoticed: the enormous waste stream of single-use plastic devices in departments beyond the O.R.

Cenorin has focused on this aspect of environmental stewardship for over 40 years. ecoProcessing addresses previously-unconfronted opportunities for you to contribute to your facility’s sustainability efforts. â€‹

At Cenorin, we talk about what we can do to help YOU make a positive contribution to sustainability initiatives.

Our focus is to make improving the environment easy for you, the healthcare provider. We provide opportunities for you to improve your sustainability profile and your environmental contributions through the products we make for you and in the way we manufacture them. We do this by creating economical solutions to the routine medical device management and reprocessing concerns you confront every day. We also help you address challenges related to stewardship of resources, reduction of waste and reliance on disposable single-use plastic devices.

We believe that collaborating and supporting our customers in making Earth a cleaner, safer, more resilient place for us all is simply the right thing to do. People are the agents for sustainability.
